Membership

Becoming a member with us helps us to create a safe gathering place for all Leather identified Women/girls, transgenders, and other females within the alternative lifestyle communities. A space to learn and to share in a sisterhood that centers around the strong premise that we can develop our own capacities, and self- confidence through diversity, unity, acceptance and love.

Open Associate Membership

 

RCgoL is opening up our associate membership, starting March 1, 2021. Applications will be taken from March 1, 2021 to March 30, 2021.

 

Membership is open to any Leather identified women/girl, women/girl interested in Leather, transgender or non-binary individuals, and those within other alternative lifestyle communities if you embrace your feminine energy.

 

General Eligibility

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age

  • Must receive one hundred (100) percent affirmative vote from the Executive Board and three-fourths (¾) percent affirmative vote from general members present to be accepted as an associate member

  • Associate member dues will be $36.00 annually

 

The pledging process lasts six months. Patches are given to those who successfully complete the process.

Apply for Full Membership - Currently not accepting applications

Full Membership
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age

  • Attend six (6) of twelve (12) meetings per year

  • Attend fifty (50) percent of events outside of meetings per year

  • Must serve as a volunteer or coordinator of outside event

  • Must be at outside events as a representative of RCgoL

  • Have voting rights

  • Pay monthly dues of $ 60.00 annually

  • May hold leadership role after a minimum of eight (8) months of membership

  • Must receive one hundred (100) percent affirmative vote from the Executive Board and three-fourths (¾) percent affirmative vote from general members present to be accepted as a full member

Associate Membership
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age

  • Comprised of two (2) types of members

    • Any Leather Women/girl who is active and in good standing with another Leather club may be voted for an associate membership once their credentials have been verified by the Executive Board

    • Any Leather Women/girl who is not a full member or any individual person who does not identify as a Leather Woman/girl

  • Must receive one hundred (100) percent affirmative vote from the Executive Board and three-fourths (¾) percent affirmative vote from general members present to be accepted as an associate member

  • Associate members will not have voting privileges but may discuss issues. They may request, in writing, two (2) weeks PRIOR to the next meeting to address the Executive Board

  • Although not required, we encourage Associate Members to participate in club sponsored events and Leather socials

  • Associate member dues will be $36.00 annually

Honorary Membership
  • Honorary members are appointed lifetime members with all the benefits of full membership except for voting privileges

  • Honorary status may be bestowed upon a person living or deceased. Said person must meet one of the following criteria

    • Must be a non-traditional member candidate

    • Must exhibit excellence in both personal and/or career/lifestyle achievements that further enhance RCgoL purpose

    • Candidate cannot be a current or recent past member

  • Honorary status may be bestowed upon a person(s) with one hundred (100) percent affirmative vote from the Executive Board and three-fourths (¾) percent affirmative vote from general members present at time of voting

  • Honorary members shall receive an official RCgoL pin, when available, a patch stating their honorary status. Honorary members will be mentioned on the club website

  • Honorary members do not have voting rights or rights to request amendments to the Bylaws

  • Membership dues will be waived for those with honorary status

Sponsorship
  • A RCgoL sponsor is any individual who has not met the requirements for either an associate or full member, or a group or individual who provides financial support of at least one hundred (100) dollars in the fiscal year.

  • At the discretion of the Executive Board, a person or group which provides significant non-monetary service(s) to the club may also be designated as a sponsor.

  • Sponsor’s receive a pin, when available, and mention on the club website.

  • Sponsor’s do not have voting rights or rights to request amendments to the Bylaws.
